Kelcie finds and prepares the lockets for The Luna Edit; I print the photographs her customers choose. We’ve worked together for years, with thousands of miniature prints fitted into lockets along the way.
Meet Kelcie
Kelcie started The Luna Edit in summer 2021. A portrait photographer, she named the business after her daughter, Luna.
An antique ruby and diamond ring sparked her interest in vintage jewellery. Later, she found a Victorian heart locket with its original black and white photographs inside and began specialising in lockets.

Vintage lockets come in different shapes and sizes. Even two similar heart lockets can have different spaces inside for a photograph.
How the photographs are fitted
Choose the photograph
Kelcie helps the customer pick an image with a clear subject and enough space for the locket’s shape.
Print the photo sheet
I print the same image 34 times in 17 sizes, with two copies of each.
Cut and fit by hand
Kelcie chooses the closest size, trims the print and fits it inside the locket.
The finished lockets
Kelcie returns the remaining miniature prints with the finished locket, so the customer can keep the spares.
