Isobella’s Ring Made with Ned’s Ashes

After losing Ned, whom she called her baby cat, Isobella asked me to set a small amount of his ashes into a ring.

A ring to keep Ned close

The design she first chose was not available in her size, so I checked the rings I had and sent photographs of the suitable options.

Isobella preferred one of the alternatives to her original choice. It has a warm gold finish, a round amber-coloured centre framed by clear stones and two small teardrop details at the sides.

I set Ned’s ashes so they remain visible inside the centre of the ring. The pale fragments of ash can be seen against the amber background.

After receiving it, Isobella wrote:

“After loosing my baby cat Ned, i wanted to get a piece of jewellery to keep him close to me, so i contacted Matt to make a ring for me. Matt was so friendly and helpful and when the original ring design wasn’t available Matt sent me over some photos of other ones he had in my size and it was even more beautiful then the one i originally picked.
