Ashes Charms for Bracelets: Your Questions Answered
An ashes charm holds a small amount of cremation ashes inside a piece of jewellery you can wear on a bracelet. I make and finish each Featherlings charm in my Portsmouth workshop, with your choice of colour and personal details.
Can I get an ashes charm for my Pandora bracelet?
Yes. Featherlings offers ashes charms compatible with Pandora bracelets. Check the fit information on your chosen charm, as bracelet ranges and fittings differ. If you are unsure, send me the bracelet name or a photo before ordering.
Choosing your charm
Can the ashes be visible or hidden?
Yes, most designs offer both options. Visible ashes show within the coloured resin; hidden ashes give a more discreet finish. Choose the colour and finish on the product page.
Can I add a name, handwriting or a photo?
There are designs for engraving, handwriting and photographs alongside the ashes. The options depend on the charm, so choose a design with the personalisation you want.
Can you use pet ashes, hair or fur?
Yes. Most designs can be made with ashes, hair or fur from a person or a pet. If you would like to combine materials or include feather fibres or dried flowers, contact me first so I can check what will work in your chosen charm.
How ordering works
- Choose your charm. Select the colour, finish and any available personalisation, then place your order.
- Use the free postal kit. I send instructions and prepaid tracked return postage so you can send your ashes, hair or fur to my workshop.
- I make your jewellery. Allow approximately 14 days from your inclusions arriving. Anything unused is returned with your finished piece.
A few practical questions
How much ash do you need?
Only a small amount of ashes is needed for each piece. Any unused ashes are returned with your finished jewellery. If you have very little available, contact me before ordering.
Do I fill the charm myself?
No. You send your ashes in the postal kit and I set them into the charm using jewellery resin. Your charm arrives finished and ready to wear.
Can an ashes charm go on a necklace?
Some dangle charms can be worn on a suitable chain. Check the charm’s dimensions and fitting before ordering so it fits the chain and hangs the way you want. If you prefer, browse the ashes necklaces.
Can you make it for a particular date?
Making usually takes approximately 14 days after your ashes arrive, with postage time to allow for as well. Faster delivery options at checkout speed up postage. If you need your jewellery for a special date, add the date to your order notes. I’ll try to prioritise making where possible, but cannot guarantee a date.
